I am Barb. Raised in Hope, Arkansas and transplanted to Alabama when I finally found the love of my life (after two marriages that didn't work, I got lucky this third time,) Richie. I'm also the mother of two great grown daughters, a wonderful teen-age step-son who also happens to be autistic, and I'm Nana to the most mischievous, nerve-racking and precious grandson ever.
For years I have suffered from clinical depression and panic/anxiety disorder and had tried everything...then I found ART. I have always been creative and crafty, making jewelry and doing crafty things around the house, but it wasn't until I found ART and that deep seeded creative part of myself that I found myself beginning to heal.
Art journaling began my healing and this led to broadening my artistic horizons and now I am learning and experimenting in mixed-media, collage, watercolors, acrylic painting, bookbinding, altered arts and more.
ART has healing powers and it continues to heal me, every single day.

To sum me up, I'm a wild dreamer, a seeker of bliss, a mess maker, a loving soul. I art journal and create with a passion. I have a penchant for Diet Mt. Dew, run-on sentences, Mexican food, pens and markers, peace signs, trees, art supplies, quotes, thrift stores & garage sales, garden fresh veggies and random acts of kindness. Creating art truly is my therapy.
