============================================

I really did have intentions of posting twice yesterday but I had no comments so I decided that since no one was reading that there really wasn't any need to post that 2nd promised post.

Yea, I get a little down when no one says anything...I'm sensitive like that, I guess.

But I decided tonight that it is probably because I've not been good about noting my favorite blogs lately, either. Why should I expect anyone to come and see me if I'm not out there visiting and commenting the way I should?

The nerve of me! Pfft! (Uh huh, I can be a bit self centered sometimes but I'm working on it. LOL)

Anyway, I do want to share one thing I made that I was talking about in my last post.

My oldest daughter is in nursing school and next week is the end of the summer semester so all the students are giving gifts to their instructors. Savannah, my daughter, was elected to pick out something for the head of the Nursing Program, their main instructor...and she asked me to make it for her. All the girls are pitching in to pay for it but Savannah said she knew I'd come through with something beautiful for her very picky top dog instructor.

This is what I came up with...a Memory Bracelet made with glass beads, freshwater pearls and Swarovski crystals. (My lighting does nothing to capture the sparkle of the crystals...it really is very pretty.)

What do you guys think?

I sure hope she likes it. They say she's very persnickety (another of my Southern colloquialisms LOL) and they are all worried since she is the big gun for their program.

The way I see it (and this just could be me), it's a gift...what's she gonna do, say it sucks? LOL Well, I certainly hope she doesn't even think that!

I'm busy lately playing with my Cricut and learning how to do cool things on it. I'm in the process of my first "real" project with it...something like this one but I'm doing the word "Family" to give my inlaws with pics of the hubby, me, the girls, the Chadster, and Noah, the grandboy. (This one was done by JustDucky.)

Although we've not been family for that long in the grand scheme of things (2 1.2 years), they are wonderful to me and my girls & Noah. They have truly become the parents I haven't had since my Mom and Dad died so long ago (17 & 21 years ago, respectively). I adore them and just wanted to do a little something to show them how much we all love them.

I should be done with it tomorrow and will post pics as soon as I'm done.

I'm sorry that I havent' been reading and commenting the way a good friend does. I'm still working through some depression issues but I am getting better.

Thanks for bearing with me!

Now, I'm off to read, catch up and comment some of you guys!

Happy Crafting!!!

Peace & Love,

  1. whatchu mean you didn't get any comments??? What am I? chopped liver?? :P
I'M the one not getting any comments over here!!
I use this diary to post entirely different type entries than those I put elsewhere..and ....well..maybe I just need to link this site to my other diaries. Maybe then I'd get read and get input.
    I dunno...
I was just looking for someplace new and fresh...but this place doesn't seem to like me.

I love the black and white..I think Savannah's directore will love it, too. And that "adore" sign..you'll be making those? I LOVE it!!! It reminded me of my fave french saying, "Je t'adore" (I adore you). I love saying those words.

I may have to get you to make some of those for me. Are they like wall hangings or something? How big are they? I think it's way cute!

  3. Sometimes, I don't get comments even when I am commenting crazily to others. I guess it just depends....the internet is fickle and dictated by outside lives. :-)

Hugs to you. I have found that I like your blog a lot.

    Sparkly bracelets make me smile.

  6. I'm sorry you've been having a rough time! I haven't been commenting enough, either. Hopefully both of us can get things back in gear, now that summer craziness is ending.

The bracelet is gorgeous! And I am anxious to see what you can do with your cricut. Does is do vinyl? I saw the link on the sidebar. Can you do stuff from you computer that you design? Or only things they have created cartridges for? Anyway, I dont know much about it, but I am very interested. Lot's of project possibilities.

Despite not having a lot of comments, advertising on your site through entrecard has been really expensive! I still can't afford to. My price went way down when I was MIA.

  7. Well, if she doesn't like the bracelet then send it to me because I LOVE IT!!

Look at you getting into so many crafty things. I didn't realize you were doing so much. If you aren't careful you're going to have lots of loot pouring in from people wanting all the neat things you're making.

You're officially on my list of fave bloggers.

  9. I think it's the summer! I honestly do not believe it's you or your blog. I just love it here. But with two kiddies and one hubby home for a little while I don't get to play on the Internet quite as much. But no worries I'll be back to my computer full time in about a month. Then you'll never get rid of me. LOL I'm glad your depression issues are getting cleared up.

    Have a great day.
